Terms of Service

1. What SEOCode is

SEOCode is a GitHub App that automatically reviews pull requests for SEO issues, posts a detailed report as a PR comment, and sets a commit status check (pass or fail) based on whether critical issues were found. It is operated by the SEOCode team.

2. Acceptable use

You may install and use SEOCode on any GitHub repository you own or have permission to administer. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or abuse the service
• Use SEOCode in a way that violates GitHub's own Terms of Service
• Attempt to overload or disrupt the service through automated or excessive requests
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass plan limits or billing enforcement

3. Plans and billing

SEOCode is available on the following plans: Free, Pro, Team, and Agency. Paid plans are purchased and managed through GitHub Marketplace. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to GitHub Marketplace's terms.

• Free — 1 public repository, limited rules. No charge.
• Pro — Up to 5 repositories (public or private), full rule set. Billed monthly via GitHub Marketplace.
• Team — Unlimited repositories within 1 GitHub organization, full rule set. Billed monthly via GitHub Marketplace.
• Agency — Unlimited repositories across unlimited GitHub organizations, full rule set. Billed monthly via GitHub Marketplace.

All billing is handled by GitHub. SEOCode does not store or process payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your GitHub Marketplace settings — access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.

If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your account reverts to the Free plan limits. Repositories that exceed the Free plan's limits will no longer receive reviews until a paid plan is reinstated or the installation is adjusted.

4. No warranty

SEOCode is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every SEO issue in your codebase will be detected. The rules and suggestions SEOCode provides are guidance, not authoritative advice.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEOCode and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to SEO issues that were not caught, missed rankings, failed deployments due to a blocking status check, or any business impact.

6. Availability

We reserve the right to modify features, adjust plan limits, or discontinue the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. Pricing changes apply to the next billing cycle after notice is given.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to install SEOCode on the repositories you add it to
• Reviewing and validating any fixes or suggestions SEOCode provides before applying them
• Managing your subscription and plan selection via GitHub Marketplace
• Revoking access if you no longer want SEOCode installed on your account

8. Intellectual property

SEOCode, its name, logo, and associated assets are the property of the SEOCode team. You may not use them without permission.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of SEOCode after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SEOCode operates.
